Midjourney 6 was recently released, and we decided to compare its image quality with it’s biggest rivals: Stable Diffusion SDXL 1.0 and DALL-E3.

Summary

Midjourney 6 excels in photorealism but faces challenges in rendering cartoon characters like ‘The Pink Panther,’ likely due to its focus on increased realism. In this aspect, DALL-E 3 takes the lead with superior cartoon character creation. A notable drawback of Midjourney is its cost, especially when compared to its free counterparts, DALL-E 3 and StableDiffusion SDXL 1.0.

However, for the time being, the investment in Midjourney seems worthwhile, though the rapidly evolving landscape of AI image generation could shift this balance in the future. The journey ahead promises to be intriguing.
