Shadow takes a different approach to meeting capture than most AI note-takers. Rather than joining your calls as a bot participant, it runs locally on your Mac and picks up audio and screen content directly. This means no one sees a bot in the attendee list, and your recordings stay on your device unless you explicitly share them.
After each meeting, Shadow produces structured output automatically: summaries in Markdown, action items linked to specific people, drafted follow-up emails, and CRM-ready fields like budget, authority, need, and timeline for sales calls. You can connect these outputs to Zapier, Notion, Slack, or Linear to slot them directly into your existing tools.
The custom skills feature lets you define your own output formats using natural language prompts. A product manager might create a skill that generates user stories from meeting notes; a sales rep might build one that fills out a deal qualification template. The free plan covers the first 25 meetings, and the paid plan at $8 per month removes all limits.
